Mental well-being is an inseparable part of student life, as academic pressures, social dynamics, and personal growth can often lead to stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. To support students in navigating these challenges, Idyllic Institute of Management provides mental well-being clubs and centres like “संपूर्ण”- The Holistic Development Club, “चाणक्य”- The Scholarly Club and “जोश”- The Sports Club and Centres like “मार्गदर्शन”- The Counselling Centre & “आराधना भवन”- The Centre for Indian Knowledge System that aim to create a supportive environment for students to discuss, address, and manage their mental & physical health. These clubs and centres play an important role in fostering a sense of community, reducing humiliation, and providing students with tools and resources to maintain a healthy mindset throughout their college experience.

- Purpose of Mental Well-Being Clubs & Centres
Mental well-being clubs & centres in Idyllic Institute of Management are designed to promote emotional health, create a safe space for students, and encourage open dialogue about mental & physical health challenges. It works to break the mental illness, offering peer support, educational resources, and self-care strategies. Through their initiatives, these clubs aim to help students recognize the importance of mental health and seek help when needed.

These Clubs and Centres organizes a wide range of activities, events, and resources to support students in their mental health journey:
Peer Counseling and Assistance:
These clubs & centres provide peer-led support groups where students can share their experiences, challenges, and coping strategies in a safe, non-judgmental environment. These clubs & centres can help students feel understood and connected, and provide a sense of solidarity in navigating mental health struggles. Hostel Canteen, Atrium, Garden Areas are perfect places to relax and problem solution.
Workshops and Seminars
Under these clubs & centres we organize workshops on topics such as stress management, mindfulness, time management, coping mechanisms, and self-care techniques. Expert speakers, including counselors, psychologists, and wellness coaches, are invited to educate students on maintaining mental well-being and recognizing the signs of mental health issues.
Mindfulness and Relaxation Sessions
To combat stress and promote relaxation, these clubs & centres offer guided mindfulness sessions, meditation, yoga classes and breathing exercises. These practices are designed to help students to improve their emotional regulation, focus and overall sense of calm.
Social and Recreational Activities
The Holistic Club and The Sports Club also involved in social event to relax and bond over shared interests. These includes movie nights, art therapy sessions, or creative activities like Eco-friendly ‘Ganesh’ making invites creation. Engaging in fun, stress-free activities allows students to unwind and form meaningful connections with peer group.
Mental Health Awareness Campaigns
These clubs & centres run campaigns to raise awareness about mental health issues, promote resources on campus, and encourage students to seek help when needed. These campaigns includes social media outreach, poster displays, and student panels, aiming to educate and normalize conversations around mental health in association with sister concern Indore Nursing College.

“चाणक्य”- The Scholarly Club focuses on fostering intellectual growth, academic engagement, and scholarly discussion among students. This club aims to create an environment where intellectual curiosity is nurtured and academic achievements are celebrated. It serves as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world applications, helping students grow not just academically but also professionally. The objective of the club is:

3. “जोश”- The Sports Club
This club encourages students to participate in both competitive and recreational sports. These activities provides facilities, resources, and programs for individuals who are interested in participating in sports, fitness, and recreational activities. In essence, sports club is designed to create a supportive environment for athletes and enthusiasts alike, allowing them to pursue their passions, improve their skills, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. The activities organized by the sports club goes beyond just organizing events; it includes:

“मार्गदर्शन”- The Counselling Centre is established with the objectives to identify students’ mental, emotional, and psychological issues and provide the solution for overall well-being. - “आराधना भवन”- The Centre for IKS
The Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) is need of hour to promote traditional Indian wisdom, practices, and methodologies that contribute to mental well-being. Integrated within mental well-being clubs, it offers a holistic approach to fostering emotional health, cognitive stability, and overall wellness. The centre explores and revives the timeless techniques found in Indian philosophy, spirituality, and health systems to help individuals achieve balance, mental clarity, and emotional resilience. The primary purpose is to bridge the gap between ancient Indian knowledge and modern mental health practices. The Centre aims to:

One of the central components of this centre within mental well-being clubs is the practice of Yoga and Meditation Session, Mindfulness and Self-Awareness Workshops, Counseling and Support Systems program etc.

(a) Student Counselling
“दीक्षा” – Mentor-Mentee Program
At Idyllic Institute of Management, Student Counselling is a vital support system designed to guide students through academic, emotional, social, and personal challenges. In today’s fast-paced and demanding environment, students face stress, anxiety, confusion about career paths, or struggles with relationships and self-esteem. Counselling provides a safe, confidential, and supportive space where students can express themselves and seek guidance.
In the Institution, the student-centric mentoring initiative titled “दीक्षा” has been designed and implemented as a structured support mechanism under the institute’s commitment to holistic student development. The program is aligned with the vision of providing academic, emotional, and professional guidance to students enrolled in UG and PG degree programs.
“दीक्षा” functions as a bridge between students and faculty, where assigned faculty members act as mentors, and students are grouped as mentees under their supervision. Each mentor is assigned a manageable number of students to ensure personalized interaction, effective monitoring, and sustained mentoring outcomes.
The program aims to address various challenges faced by students, including:
- Career-related concerns
- Skill development
- Learning difficulties
- Behavioral and emotional challenges
- Interpersonal communication problems
To further support students, the program includes various initiatives such as peer mentoring, career counseling sessions, academic progress tracking, and skill development workshops. “दीक्षा” not only fosters a sense of belongingness and safety but also promotes a culture of positive mental health, academic excellence, and emotional resilience. It empowers students to take charge of their academic and personal growth, while mentors receive training to handle issues sensitively and effectively.
The effectiveness of the program is evaluated periodically through feedback forms, mentor-mentee reports, and academic performance reviews, ensuring continuous improvement. “दीक्षा” has become an integral part of the academic ecosystem of the institute and contributes meaningfully to enhancing the overall student satisfaction, retention, and success rate.
Idyllic’s “दीक्षा”- Mentor Mentee Program and “मार्गदर्शन”- The Counselling Centre are key components of our teaching strategy to enhance student employability by DMIT, NLP, Grapho, Psychometric and Industry Readiness Test. “मार्गदर्शन”- The Counselling Centre is established with the objectives to identify students’ mental, emotional, and psychological issues and provide the solution for overall well-being.
(b) Training the Faculty to identify student Psychological Issues
In today’s dynamic academic environment, students face numerous psychological pressures stemming from academic expectations, social challenges, personal identity struggles, and post-pandemic mental health impacts. At Idyllic Institute of Management, training program is designed to equip faculty with the necessary skills to identify early signs of psychological issues, respond empathetically, and refer students to appropriate support services. Following are the objectives to train the faculty to identify student psychological Issues:

As part of its commitment to student-centric education and emotional well-being, Idyllic Institute of Management has initiated structured faculty training sessions. These sessions are conducted in collaboration with internal as well as external professional counsellors to prepare faculty members for their role as effective mentors and student counsellors.
The training focuses on enabling faculty to understand and address the emotional and physical changes that undergraduate student’s experience-ranging from stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem to behavioral and learning challenges. A core component of the program involves training the faculty to identify psychological issues in students at an early stage and respond with appropriate support or referral.
Sessions cover key areas such as developmental psychology, active listening, empathetic communication, and creating a non-judgmental support environment. Faculty are also trained to detect warning signs of mental distress and guide students dealing with academic pressure, communication gaps, and personal difficulties.

The presence of trained counsellors in academic institutions is increasingly vital as students face a wide range of emotional, psychological, and academic pressures. Students are experiencing heightened levels of stress, anxiety, peer pressure, identity struggles, and career-related uncertainty. At Idyllic Institute of Management, trained counsellors support the students’ mental well-being, helping them manage personal and academic challenges, and promoting a healthy learning environment.
